Prof. Stone, is sufficient to convince the most

"Her disease was one of unmixed phthisis,
which had been expected to terminate in the
course of a few months, futally. The upper
part of both her lungs was filled with tuber
cles ; and in some places were beginning lo

The treatment of cod liver oil was at first
used, but without marked improvement. The
phosphate of lime wns then administered with
the oil, and the result, as in the case of many
others, was soon apparent. The patient was
rapidly getting well."
Caution. On account of the great repu

flicted against using any except that manu
factured by him, as he has the only recipt in
the United States for combining the Pure

I'hat each of the survivinc, or the widow or
minorchildren of deceased commissioned and
noncommissioned officers, musicians, or pri
vates, whether of regulars, volunteers, rang
ers or militia, who performed military ser
vices in any regiment, company or detach
ment in the service of ihe United States, in
the war with urcat Uritian, declared by tlio
United States on ihe eighteenth day of June
1812. or in anv of the Indian wars since 1790
and each of the commissioned officers who
wa3 engaged in the military service of the
United States in the late war with Mexico.
and shall be entitled to lands as follows :
Those who engaged to serve twelve
months or during the war. and actnallv

served nine months, shall receive one hun-
ircd and sixtv acics: and those who encaged.
to serve six months and actually served four
months, shall receive eighty acies; ana
those who engaged to serve for any or an
indefinite peiiod, and actually served one
month, shall receive forty acres. Provided,

qonorably discharged in consequence of dis
ability in the service, he shall receive the a
mount to which he would have been entitled
if he had served the full period for which he
had engaged to serve.
Under the above act, and the acts of Con

those entitled to receive them, as above spe
