    NOTICE TO LOT OWNERS
- IN THE
BOROUGH OF STROUDSBURG.
At a meeting of the Burgess and Town
oouncihnen, held on Monday evening, the
3d of April, 1854, the following Resolu
tions were passed, viz:
Resolved, That public notico be giveu to
all persons who have not paved tue side
walks before their own property, under
the Ordinance passed the 28th day of
June, 1853, that if the fame is not com
menced and prosecuted towards comple
tion by the first day of May next, the Bor
ough will proceed to do the same immedi
ately after that date, at the expense of the
owners of said land.
Resolved, That the foregoing resolution
be published one week in the newspapers
of the Borough, and the Secretary be re
quired to give notice of the same to own
era of land not residents in the Borough

ing Real Estate, formerly of David Stcr
finger, late of Hamilton township, in said
county, deceased, will be sold at public

certain tract or piece of land situate in
the township of Hamilton, in the said

On the night of the 5th of November, 1853.
a man by the name of Isaac Brown, absron
ded from Stroudsburg, taking with him a
young girl about 17 years old, with whom
it 13 supposed he is cohabiting. The said
Brown is 33 years old, about 5 five feet 10
inches in height, light complexioned, sandy
hair and is crossed eyed eyes light blue
and formerly a lesident of Broom County.
N. Y. He is a School Teacher, professes to
be a Baptist and occasionally turns preacher
The young girl, whom he enticed away, is
about 5 leet one inch in height, rather slen
der, dark hair and grey eyes, and has an
impediment in her speech.
The said Isaac Brown left a wife and two
children in Stroudsburg. The above reward
will be paid for the apprehension aud deliv
ery of said Brown at Stroudsburg, or 15
dollars for bis arrest and delivery in any
County Jail, upon information being given
of this fact to the undersigned.

at Stroudsburg, and 200,000 at his kiln at
Dulotsburg, near the Delaware Water Gap.
These brick will be sold on the most reason
able terms, ns the subscriber wishes to quit
the business as soon as he can dispo.se of
his slock of brirk. He also offers his- brck
yard, house and lot, with a large body of clay
at Dutolsburg. all in good order, and new,
