the much loved Belvidere. where the host of
the hotel was awaiting them. and they were
scam ushered into the banquet room, where
an enticing feast had been prepared.
The boys were somewhat tired nod hurter-J
-otter their "little pull," and of course it did
not take much persuasion to make them con,
mence the destruction of substantial and deli
cacy, which was entered upon in right "sal
cornet, sad with the merry laugh and Joyous
conversation, It was molly no attractive
scene. The inner man being pretty well cared
for by thistime, numerous speeches were
nude by general gentlemen present; theta,
streaking the great auccess of the Barge Club,
considering the short time it bad been In ex
loterice, and of the great good clubs of thin
kind were productive of inevery point of view.
Th the time woo whiled away until late at
night. when the riolog of the moon was an
nounced, which was to be the sign of depart
ure, and the boys. although fully rented and
ready to leave, regretted the time had pasted
so !moo. but were glad to, know the return
Would be made by moonlight. Lively songs
of rations kinds marked the way down, and
- when the boat house was reached at the. SUS;
pension bridge, all proommced the excurolun

Park. Allegheny, between the Allegheny and
Osceola clubs, the latter being the challeng

Western Pennsylvania. They have played a

the female regatta. which will tate place at
half moat two o'clock this afternoon on the
Upper Monongahela wove, ander the direc
tion of the Nonpareil Boat Club, vhioh also
holds a picnic at Glenwood grove, and as one
of the features of their entertainment offer
a prize to the best oarswoman In a single
scull race of one mile. That the affair will
be a decidea success there can be no doubt; as
three young Indies entered the list as compet
itors shortly after the prize was offered and
