funding bill and the excitement In France. re
ceived a check yesterday. on improved band

teared to carry everything before It, but
. when the moderate short interest was coy
reed there were no buyers to take the stocks
or gold from the cliques and . the market had
to
_decline. Gold In particular, which was
strong on Thursday butt at suddenly de
clined to 114%; recovering to 11LK, the market
again became weak and unsettled. lint the
present low rates ate not likely to prevail
gen - long. The advance having brought out
&ellen of May Interest. the market is likely to
be forced higher as soon as the disbursmenta of
the Ttsasum• are no longer felt and gold can
lie carried under an easy money market. •
