MALICIOUS MISCHIEF.
On the'opening of the Court, at itae A.
x., the jurors on the trial of Henry
Ganiecitey, for malicious injury, heard
the previous day, bad notegreed to their
verdlet7one of 'their number desiring
some enlightenment on the definition of
the crime imputed to the accused. After
the Court had entered into a lengthy' le
gal ereplanathilea the jurors' found the
prisoner guilty, with a recommendation
to mercy. Sentence deferred.

The case of Charlea Seely, accused of
committing an aggravated mouth and
battery on.- the person of a colored lad
named William Walker, having been

drawled the jury for the plaintiff, urging.

chair. stated the object of the meeting to
be the consideratiou of the queetion of
relieving the dealers of some of the ob
regutations nos existing in ref
erence to the guaging and stamping of
whisky; and also, whether the dealers of
the city would 00-operate with tbe Weed
ern Liquor Merchants ands ppoint dale
gates to attend a Convention to be held
in Chicago on the 24th of November.
