At a meeting of the Executive Committee of
ths - Allegheny County Monumental Atsoclation,
held on Tuesday, September 28th, 1.869, the
following Preamble and Resolutlons wereunanl

WHEREAS, There appears to be a great diver
sity of ou"nion existing as to whether he SOL
DIERS, MONUMENT shouid he located In the
City of Pittsburgh or In Allegheny City; there
fore :
4eBolved, That the Funding Commtttee , ap
pointed by this Association he, and they are
hereby inettucted to prepare tickets, and submit
the question to a cote of the people of this Coun
ty, at the ensuing election, on the Second Tues
day of t ctober. the tickets to be—"F the Cit y
of Pittsburgh," and "For Allegheny City," a
majority tittle sates polled to decide the matter.
Reeolred, That after the people shalt base de
cided as to whet let the Monument shall be to-
este(l in, Pittsburgh or Allegheny City, this
Committee ehall, as soon thereafter as practies-
