CATTLE.
;There was again a very fall supply of
• cattle on sale to-day, close on to 1,200
'head, and as-has been the' ase for some
time past,.good cattle sold without much
difficulty at full prices, while/ the com
mon and median grades moved slowly
and some of the latter kiad were left
over unsold. The demand was confined
mainly to supplying the Wants of the
local trade, there, being bat very few
' outside buyers in attendance, and the
market was a little tame, 'though after
all there is not much change in prices,
compared with last week, There was
some few fancy cattle sold at 8,

there were some very ,good butchers
stock sold at 745 N. Ligheeteers, cows
and helfersoind of these the offerings

and the number from adjoining counties
was large, particularily from Washing.

SHEEP AND LAMBS. •
The supply of sheep was not very
large, though fully up to the demand,
and, as has been the Case for some time
past, they were mainly of an inferior
grade. -Prime fat sheep were in good
demand, and sold readily at full prices,
and the market, even for the commoner
grades, appeared to be stronger, and the
pens were all pretty well• cleared out by
noon. We are cognizant ofprime fat
sheep having been eold at $4,50@4,75 per
head or 5 cis. per pound. Lambs 'sold
all the way from $1,00@3.50 per head.
