At a meeting 'of the Executive Committee of
the Allegheny County Monumental Association,
held on Tuesday, September .18th, 1869, the
following Preamble and Resolutions were nauti
li:LOUD adopted :

DIERS' ICONUMENT should be located In the
City of Pittsburgh or la Allegheny City; there
fore :
Resolved, That the Building Commtttee ap
pointed by this Association be, and they are
tier, by instructed to prepare tickets, and submit
the question to a vote of the people of this Coun
ty, at the ensuing election, on the Secoad Tues
day of Uctot.r, the tickets. to be—"lr Jr the City
of _Pittsburgh," and "Por Allegheny City,"
majority utthe votes polled to decide the matter.
Resolved, That after the people shalt have de
cided as to whetaet the.3fonument shall be io
cated in Pittsburgh or Allegheny City, this
CoMmittee shall, as soon thereafter aspractlca-'
ble, designate the spot in the alty choien, where
on the 31 onument shall be erected.
