The stagnation which has prevailed in the oil business for some 'time past still continues, and what is worse still, there are no signs of improvement. The market cannot be termed weak, notwith standing it is dull, yet while the de mand either for present or future deliv ery is by uo means urgent, the offerings e light, and there are but very few sel- lers at present prices. The trade appears to be in as bad a condition now as it was thirty days ago, and while there has not been much Said about, it recently, yet after all the great difficulty, the great atld•principal clog In the way, lies in the inequality in the prices of crude and re fined, as the former is much higher rela tively than the latter. And instead of Crude getting easier and lower, it seemed to be even stronger and higher than it was last week, while, on the other hand, refined, is scarcely holding its own. There is considerable complaint among the trade in regard to the difficulty in getting cars on our western roads, and, besides, it is claimed that freights are too high to enable'reaners here to com pete fairly or successfully with Cleve land and other points. All our Pitts burgh refiners ask is to be treated with that consideration which the nature of their case requires, no more, and to this they are certainly entitled. REFINED.
