present scheme of • concurrent endow
ment, but he declared tjiat the public

ious endowments. and no Ministry would

that all the plans, save the one orig.

ing-terribly from their injuries and some
were past all Pain. ,
•At six o'clock this morning nine
bodies were counted. Several distress
lug scenes of suffering occurred, and
there were some remarkable escapes.
The engineer of the express train stood
bravely at his post, and turned over sev
eral times with his engine, bat fortu
nately escaped injury. Hey. tfr, Halleck
