Pirrt.BURGH MARKETt4. OFFICE OF PITTSBURGH GAZETTE, FRIDAY, :lune 25. 1869. Flour and Grain continue to attract considerable attention and for the time being, almost everything else is lost sight of. From the character of the ad vices on Thursday, it would seem that a reaction had set in and that the top has been reached; and while it is possible that there may be similar movements• between now and harvest, it is not like ly that they will amount to much, as the public generally are becothing too Smart to become excited over manipulations of ' this character. While it is true that the recent flurry was started by an increased export demand, yet it was not owing to i. this entirely. There is little doubt but what it was taken advantage of by cliques in Chicago, New York and other places, carrying large stocks, .and who were anxious to sell out as quickly as possible, and to the best advantage. It - is admitted that exporters have been buying considerable Flour and Grain, but this was not of itself sufficient cause for the advance and it is not probable... that there would have been mnc'h of an:2 advance had it not have been for the manipulations of speculators. The ad vices from almost every quarter speak very encouragingly of the' Wheat crop and, judging -from present indications, the yield will doubtless be the heaviest in the history of taus country.
