----
PITTSBURGH MARILIETII.
OFFICE OF PITTSBURGH GAZETTE,
THURSDAY, May 27, /869.
The most encouraging feature we have
to notice just now is the fact that the
weather is all that could' possibly be de
sired for the growing crops, and never
were the indications more favorable for;-
an abundant harvest. There was a lar
ger area of ground put in grain this
year than ever before known, at least it
is so reported, and the yield, according
to present indications, will doubtless be
the largest in the history of the country.
Unless there is a blighting June frost or
something of - that character, we may
look for cheap Flour and Grain next
fall, and. possibly before that, and there
is nothing perhaps that could add more
to the strength and stability of the
country, than good crops.
