GENERAL REVIEW -The market
hat been exceedingly'.-regular during
the past week, almost every day having
been characterized by, violent and sud.
den fluctuations, and the volume of bus
ine-s in the agg, regc , te has been compar
atively large. It haS bconno uncommon
thing to see the market rise and fall two
or' three, times in a eingle day, thus
keeping up a I. onstant excitement and,
agitation, and at times It was difficult
for those even Nato ei-e enged actively
in the busines ., , to' ktop e run of it.
To day the feeling - for tot Crude and

large arrivals o Crude are expected

operations, and as the time and attention
of ( n irators generally appeared to be
ina c u iy.abaorbed in making arrange
ments fbt delivoricsf but comparatively
little effort was made toward buy lug or
selling.
REFTNED—There was a fair,,,,amount
of business done in Refined, hut as .will
be seen prices are lower, March being'off
from fully a cent' and a quarter, and
April abent a 'cent. Compared with
.Thursday, prices are off atent two cents,
and as already intimated, the market
cloi;ed dull and weak with a droving
tendency. Sales 500 March at 31%; 503
at 31; 1(30 April at 32%; EGO do at 32%;

35; 500 July at 35; . 5t3 April. and May at
33; and 1003 April to De - zember on pri
vate terms.
CRUDE—The market .as already
noted, was decidedly weak tc day, and
compared with yesterday, pricci have
declined fully a quarter of a cent, and
even at the decline. buyers seemed - to be
