We are in hopes, however, that with a speedy resumption of navi gation, of which there is every appear., ance at this writing, there will be a de cided improvement in all branches' of trade, and that the dullness and ''-depres- sfon which have oolong prevailed, will be made to give place to that adtiVity and bonyinniY which should pervade business circles at this seamen, of the year.
