bonds"dull market In Government l a has
to be reported, following. very naturally
the excitement for several days to buy;
nearly all the speculators have tried to
realize, having made from; 2, to .4 per cent.
For the present Iheluttire price of bonds
depends on the course railway shares and
miscellaneous securities will take; if the
demand is actually as lively as is reported
higher price may be looked

and all securities based on Government
credit. Pacific Railroad bondi are already
better appreciated, and will soon command
much higher premiums.'
In Railroad shares the market is strong 1

xpress shares are strong and higher, also
Pacific Mail.
In local securities the market is dull; few
stocks are offered and fewer inquired for.
Money easier, business seems to improve.
