In accordance with law, that until 12 o'clock
noon, on the
30th Day of October; 1868,
There will be received at the office of the Secretary
of State, Seated Proposa's for furnishing, for the
use of the State of Illinois,
2,000 Seams of Printing Paper,

weighing at least 5-5 lbs. to the
ream , 51)i lbs. per quire) when dry, and in quality
equal to any printing paper heretotke used for the
publicprinting of this State. Each of the said pro
posals must be marked "Proposals I for Printing
Paper," and addressed to the Secretary of State,
Springfield, Illinois, and must be accompanied with
samples (sufficient to insure duplicates of each qual
ity and price offered) distinctly marked with num
ber, weight and price. Tee nroposals will be opened
on the same day at 3 o'clock v. tt.
All of the said Paper to be delirerl to the Secre
tary of State, at the State House, in Springfield,
Illinois; 509 reams to be delivered on or before the
first day of December next, 500 reams on or before
the first day of January next, and 1.000 reams on
or before the first day of February next.
The person or persons to whom the contract may
be awarded will be required to 'give bond, in the
penal sum of ten thousand dollars, conditioned that
h or they will faithfully furnish and deliver all the
said paper, In kind, quality and quantity, at the
time and place and upon the terms to be named in
the contract, In purzuance of law and the said con
tract: and also that Its or they will furnish, for the
nee of the State of Illinois, any additional quantity I
of paper of like else, weight aad quality, and upon
the same terms and contract, whenever requested
by the Secretary of State.
