The general market, if anything are dul
ler
than 'during the early part of the week,
which is owing mainly tothe uncertainty
in regard to values. Operators in flour and
grain are very timid, and (inclined to do as
httlo as -possible until prices are better 4' t
'established. There •is : jobbing de
mand for groceries, without however any
change in values, and the setae remarks
will apply to Provisions.
BU'PTER--Continues very scarce, and
with a good demand, we now quote prime
to choice, at 33 to 35—in small packages.
EGGS-4n good supplyand very dalf; we
- now quote at 18 to,2o—the latter figure for
fresh packed.
HAY—Was in good supply in Allegheny
to-day, and the market was very dull; sales
of 42 loads reported at from $2O to $3O for
fair to prime; and $l4 to $lB for inferior.
POTATOES=-Are in better supply, and
very dull, being offered at $4 to 14,50 per
barrel. 7 •
GREEN APPLES—In goed supply, and.
rather dull but unchanged; we continue to
quote at $4 to 85 per barrel.
GRAIN-L-Wheat is quiet and unchanged;
millers are offering $2 for new Red though _ •
for immediate delivery, $2,05 to $2,10 might
be obtained. Oats dull at the recent ad- - '
vance, though the supply is light; we
quote small sales. in store at 84 to 85c. We
hear of contracts having been made for new
Oats at 48 to 50, for fliture delivery. Corn ,
is quiet and nominally unchanged at $1.03
to $1,05 for mixed, and $l,OB to $l.lO for
prime Yellow. Rye is dull and nominal
at $1,20 to $1,25. No price established for
Barley yet.
SEEDS—Crushers, we understand, are
willing to contract for new crop Flaxseed
at s2—to be delivered within two or three r
weeks. No movement in Clover or Tim
othy Seeds. .• f
PROVISIONS—Bacon is steady, with a
; fair jobbing demand at 1335 to 1334 c for
. Shoulders; 16 to 16 1 / 4 ,c for Ribbed, and 18 to

francs.. We can report sales of 1,500 bbls
spot at 3334; 500 do do at 33%; and 1,900, 500
each for October and November at 35.
