REFINED—The market for refined oil
whilels a shadtk_stronger to-day, and
the sales, tbe r aggregate, were not
unusually.large, the'dernand seemed to be •
:more active, and,-if anything, prices ruled
a shade higher. There were two sales of
500 each for*July at 34c; 1,000 for last half
of August at 343jc; 500 for same delivery,
seller's' option, at 313.5 e, and 1,500, 500 each_
for September, Oiteber. and November, at
3431 c. It is said that it is difficult to find
first-class buyers for the rate months; and,
we suppose, that if it was not for this ob
stacle, the sales for future delivery would
be considerably larger. Refiners are more
careful about they buyer than lbrmerly;
Many of them would rather sell for a frui
tion less to a goocl reliable buyer, and, in
this, we think, they act wisely.
