this point with three and a half feet in the
Monongahela. and scant five feet in the
,Al

two warmest days . we have had this sum

indicating ninety degrees in the shade.
The ' Julia No. 2, from Zanesville, is the
only arrival we have to report; she returns
to=day as usual at 4 p. m.
The St. Marys, for Cincinnati, and R. C.
Gray, for Louisville, departed yesterday
afternoon with about: , all the friight they
oould tags on the water. Unless there is a
rise, it is.not likelythat the St. Marys will
attempt to come back.
The Argosy, for Cincinnati, cleared on
Sunday with a fair trip.
IThe Wzmanita, Capt. Thos Shuman, will

The ,Glendale, which boat left here on
Friday night for St. Louis with a cargo of

off however, in each instance, and will
doubtless reach her destination without
further difficulty.
The Bayard , Captain, Aaa S. Shepaxd, is
the regular packet for Parkersburg to 7 day,
leaving promptly at noon. ' '.
The Sallie, on her'recent dewn trip from

resume his vocation. The mate and dock

considerable sparring, and the parting eta
