Crabs.
A gentleman at Annapolis fenced in a cove
near the mouth of the Severn river and com
menced the 'cultivation of crab on a large
scale.-- He has put in about 4,000, and feeds
them on coarse fisband any kind of refuie
meat. A squad of them will attack a catfish,
devour it in pile...night, and pick the. bones
, as clean as a pack of wolves would pick a
deer. The soft crab is only the hard crab
• with his coat or shell off. Before shedding ;
his shell he is, worth only half a cent in'
marketi without he is - worth a dime.

. new shell is, again formeel. But few soft.
