The question of reunion is before several
of the ecclesiastical bodies now in session,
and the signs indicate an advance step, to'
what extent time will only develop. The
Old and New School Presbyterian Assem
_blies are discussing the report of the Joint
Committee, and the most favorable sign of
its success is, that they are praying for light
and assistance to direct them in their delib
emtions. The eyes of the Christian world
have been directed to the propOsed move
ment, and mach is expected of it. If the
union of these branches is effected, it will
'quicken the efforts. to invite other bodies,
