Trek, Committee of Arrangement of the
Pennsylvania Reserve Association are mak
ing active preparations fur a great reception
of the members froth the different parts of
the State on the occasion of the annual
meeting of the Association in. Pittsburgh on
the 80th of May. A grand banquet will be
given and an oration delivered on the late
General McCall. The :commanders of the
old Reserve Division, .among whom are
Generals Meade, Crawford, Ord, and others,

Paris of the death there, from fevei incident
to chilii-birth, of Mrs. Edward IL Green,
better known as Hetty H. Robinson, in

case. The story has no foundation in fact,
no such intelligence having reached her
family or friends in New Bedford or else
where. It was added in the Paris item that

of $35,000,000, which would be about the

women committed to that jail for three
years past amounted to $6,896, besides pro
portional costs amounting to as much more,

ineffaceable stigma of the convict upon

portion to the feet, front tn them respectively com
prised. and boundltignnd abutting as aforesaid.
SEC. 3. That aitOoon: as the. cost ana expenses of
said improvements shall be fully ascertained, It shall
be the duty of Street Commissioner to assess
and apportion the same among the. several lots
bounding and shutting upon said streets and
alleys respectively, according to the rule above
intimated, ana thereupon proceed to make demand
and collect the sane, according to the provisions of
the act of the General Assembly of the., Common
wealth of Pennsylvania, entitled ••An Act defining
the manner of collecting the expenses of grading_
and yvlng (Inn; streets and alleys of the City of
Alio eny, and for other purposes.) , passed the Eth
of March 1822.
SEC. 4. That so Much of any ordinance as may eon-
Met with or be supplied by the foregoing, be and the
same is hereby renealed.
