When the time comes, and :fulfill their part
of the. contract,- and we expect the short
selling gamblers to do the same.
It will be plain to every man- of common
sense, that a person who has sold an article
that ho has not got, and cannot furnish; 313
alone the gambler. The person who buys,
takes: the gbods,- and pays for them, is a le
gitimate operator.
This is precisely what this Company has
done and expect to do. They have exercie.
ed their own rights under their contracts,
and hav,eidltid-for tfte4. ni eglaia& and
distinct from everybody, which is proved be I
the fact that our calls are one day in ad

Seeing that the stock was exhausted,
that a large, number of vessels were on

oil, we have milled and done our best to
make all we - cart out Of our: purchases, and
are not ashamed to tell it. ,
. ,
The idea that because others have seen
the same state of facts and have followed
suit, constitutes a conspiracy, is simply
ridiculous.
I join with ".§heirt Sellei" In hoping that
the time for "this pernicious system of
corner is past," but it will not be so until
refiners stop gambling, which selling
