On the A. & G. W. evening train up,
from Youngstown on -Friday evening
was a man about thirty years old, named
Charles Frew*. formerly a brakemen on
the road, but discharged about a week
ago. Freece was a moldier in the late
war, but has not barge the best posNible
reputation for thrift and sobriety since
his return from Ws army. He lived in
Can en, and had a wire that belonged to
a good lineally, and 'is represented as in
every way an estimable woman. '
On the train Met _evening. Frxeco tnld
the conductor that •he was going to re

that he expected his wife would not want
to go, and that he would have trouble
about it—that if she refused to go, there
"would be h-11." Tho result proved
that his threats were not idle. On reach

The once of Dr. Keyser yesterday was

knee to the ankle without shy benefit, at
any rata without, effecting, it.curo. Ills
was one of the most hopeless of cases
and his constitution was worn down to
so prostrate a condition as to scarcely
leave a hope for recovery. In truth when
Dr. K. was called to sea him its Jenuary
of lust year he had to no assisted from
ono room to another. A double handful
of hones has been discharcedlfrom his
leg, and the nicers are all boiled or at
any rate in a healing condition. lie
stands forth to-day the yews pilcture of
robust health sad another witness to the
efficacy of Dr. Keyser's skill and the val
ue of :Dr. Keyser's wonderful BLOOD
SEA.RCFIER. We understand that this
great medicine has been imitated and a
spurious sophistication in many cases
palmed upon the public for the genuine.
There is not a week pease; nay, scarcely
a day, that we do not hear of some one
who has been wronged of his money and
made to linger iu continued pain and
antiaiing by this fraudulent trickery,
calculated not only to break down all
confidence in the integrity of mankind,
but to create a distrust in a remedy
whose. value is known now to two hem.

Committee, followed them in a im - mtb,
plausible, oily speech, designed- to re
move the impression produced by his
lows prudent colleagues, and to serve, ha
irides, as the key pole of the Democratic
mimic in the coming canvass. When he
had concluded, the clock indicated half
past ten, and theßspublimm, among the
vast, crowd in attendance, felt that it
needed ammo waster mind to break the
spell woven by the eloquence of the Sen
ator from Cl&artiold, and that the Work
must be done /hen, late as it wag.
Fortunately. they were not to be olis
appointssl. Mr. London, of Bradford.
took the floor, and although the crowd
had been listening for three hears, none
but the most fanatical Democrats took
their leave. - They seemed to know by
instinct,thatifomething good was coming.
1 And they wore right, For or full hour
and a quarter he held the audience en
tranced; and as the eloquent periods
flowed from his reaay tongue, one by
ono the sophistries and monstrositles of
the Democratic speakers were demolish
ed, and note thread wee left upon which
their muse could hang. Ills speech was
bold and ultra radical; as well as sur
passingly eloquent, and as he sat down,
every Republican present in the Senate

Ito main point in Mr. Wallace's
speech was that theory of "Copperbour •
%CU not as potent as It was; that the peo

ties begotten of the war; that the tittle
has now come when his party could deny
their complicity with the rebellion, It
'becoming more difficult every day to
hunt up and produce the procif of thei
disloyalty; and that, such being the nun,
they could safely charge the heavy bur
den of taxation, and the disorganize.
I condition of the South, as the remit.
simply of Republican misrule, and
the result or eousenvieneo of Democrat',
licestility to the elovernment.
DM Mr. Wallace, is calculating witheul
his host. The people have net such chart
memories as he supposes. The corn
left by the war ere not yet healed over,
nor do the mass,' forget no reality the
reword of Democratic dinlovalty. Ito

Mr. Thomas Scott, of the remisylvania

made up his mind to let the free railroad

Bills to repeal the Tioga law were

with a negative reeontmendation, and
Mr. Ford wilt at onex, introduce a new

In the Senate to-day Mr. Creep intro
duced a bill to estabil4h the eight hoer

on that subject.
Land year a bill was passed nuthorixing
the sale of the property of insolvent cor

closure - of mortgage. This year a bill
lies been Introduced conferring upon the
purchasers of railroad, bridge, meal and
never lion companies sold madnir the law
of IF,ti7, all the corporate privilegesof file
companies sold out.
The 1,111 mole up in thilSenate a day or

that under this bill the Sunbury and
