City of Pittsburgh bo and is, hereby
anthorized to borrow a sum of m-ney
ant exceeding Ten Hundred Thousand
Dollars to be used for the purpose of ins,l
proving and extending the Water Works
of said city, and for to other purpose
wkatever; to be borrowed at ettcr times
and -in such amounts as the Cou oils of
said city may by ordinance direct.l
That the Cityof Pittsburgh shall
be and Is hereby authorized and aropost
ered to issue coupon bonds for the pay-
Meat of any Mall of money which may
be borrowed in pursuance of this act, to
sums not legit than one hundred dollars, I
•beariag interest at a rate not more than 7 I
per cent, per annum, to be executed in
said form and in suck manner, and pay
able
at such times as Couperin may by
ordinance direct; provided, however,
that none of said binds shall be told for

vided, further, that all bonds issued in

from taxation for city purposes.
Sac. 3. That the loan authorized by
this act shall be known as the "Water
Extension Loan," and all „bonds issued

of Pittsburgh shall annually, at the time
