Mr. Dithridge, whose glass works fronts on a full square, was anxious to secure a good foundation for a pavement previous to laving ii, and from time to time had aka in the walk with new materials after it had settled,.until a hard, solid foundation was nearly Se cured. The brick to lay the pavement had been _ordered. for delivery on Wed nesday rolthing, but on - Tuesday morn ing he observed the materials for paving being delivered by Street Conimissioner Flinn, who, without consulting Mr. Dithridgc, had set mon to work that afternoon to lay thepavement.
