calls upon Its readers to "charge home. '
It seems aisposed to have things done In
military style now that the war Is over.
The charges made during the war, by a
great many Copperheads in these parts,
were toward the Allegheny mountains
and other unknown regions. If they
called that charging home it certainly did
not Liam their friends, the rebels, very
much, but on the contrary was in their
behalL The "charges home" now milt
ed for by the Gazette are still of the same
style, in behalf of traitors and rebels.—

War Depintment, has received a num
ber of letters some of them anonymous,
and others letters,
