The Legislature of Pennsylvania, at
thelast session, passed "An Act to in
corporate the Gettysburg Asylum" for
Invalid Soldiers. The Governor ap
proved this Actonthe 11th of March.
The corporators are Generals Ml:linli,
PLICNVI'ACKEE, biecees and Pd:Avnit,
and Mr, Juasrn B. 13Enngn, any three
of : whom are authorized to carry the Act
into effect, Among the powers granted,

laws, embodying : a scheme to raise mon
ey by a system of gifts,. modeled after
the CROBBY Opera Ilottsa Lottery. This
seems to have been the original inten
tion, and the clause of. the Act above
recited was manifestly framed to . impart
legality to the plan.
