On Tuesday evening, about eleven o'clock,

ited this region, an oil tank, belonging to
the Fall-slim Oil Company, was struck by
lightning. The works of this Company. were
situated at Fairview, about nine miles up
the Allegheny, and were all new, having
but a short_ time since commenced opera
tions. At pitmen o'clock, as stated, the

ticed to be on fire. The flames were kept
down pretty well, until about tour o'clock
in the morning, when the main tank burst,
