TIIA CONSOLIDATION HILL
The bill providing for the consolidation
of the cities of Pittsburgh, Allegheny
and suburbs, was passed by consent, with
the following amendments:
The first section was amended by requir
ing copie.s of the surveyli to be made to be
tiled In the oflloo of the Recorder of Deeds
and the Commissioners' office.
The second section was amended so as to
divide the proposed city Into three dis
tricts, south of the rivers, north of the
rivers, and between the !rivers, and any
district voting against consolidation shall
not be included In the city.
The third section allows each ward, her.
°ugh and township to elect councilmen sep
arately.
The fifth section makes it the duty of as•
lessors to mark real estate for agricultural
purposes, rural to be taxed two-thirds as
much as city property.
Section° twenty•fonr, thirty-four to thir
