county companies are on the same basis.
The bill is not &stetted to produce any
considerable : effect there. In Luzerne
county all the transportation companies
. own mines, and buy and sell coal. In
deed they transport no coal, unless they
own it before it starts foi• market. In
addition to the productsl of their own
mines, they buy of individual operators,
deliverable at the pit mouths or at the
nearest 'point on ; mami traeks. The
North Branch Canal, the iDelaware and
Hudson -Canal, the pelaware, Lacks.
