preliminaries for the formatiOn of an Actors ,
Art Union here, similar to that now in opera
tion in Philadelphia, the object ot.which shall
be the mental and social Improvement of the
members. For the prirpose of effecting an or
ganization sad the furtherance of their laud
able project, there was a meeting of histrions
hell yesterday afternoon in the parlor of the
Mansion House, on Liberty street. •

phia 'Union of which he had been a member.
