It is but light and can be furnished at one-half the price the citizens of that plum. are now paying for their gas. —The Portland Prroa says that from an the information it can gather it is satisfied that, notwithstanding tie heavy drains that will be made upon various insurance offices, the losses will be promptly paid, with, perhaps, the exception of the Port land Mutual, which office may be obliged to compromise with the policy holders.
