BurraLO, June 13,
lb the Soldiers of frith Liberty
Colawralksa AND Furzsusi—The proclama
tion of President Roberts, lust issued, calls
upon you to stand firm by the cause, that our
movement must and will advance. Under
these circumstances, and the fact that Con
gress will In a very few' days either repeal the
neutrality law or extend to us belligerent
nghts in the name of Ireland, we beg of you
to do your duty. Let no Fenian so disgrace
himself as to accept the Ignaminous condi-
Liana attached to the proffer of Government
transportation. Never, Irishmen, forswear
your rights as American citizens, or your de
votion to the cause for which you have sacri
ficed so much, and for which you are ready to
die. such conduct would be unworthy of your
manhood and race. Be patient; a glorious
future awaits you; and are many. Aaya the
order to march will gladden your hearts.
Therefore, stand firm and don't allow the In
trigues of officers, who are in toe pay of the
British; cause you to swerve from the only
paths of duty and honor. Await the orders of
your military officers. Conduct yourselves as
FM have in the past, while here, and the citi
zens of thin city will not neglect you.
Fraternally, J. W. krrcasaaus,
ldsonalt. SosalLoa.
Buy veto, June 14.—The guard placed In the
telegraph office yesterday afternoon, bas to.
day bean withdrawn. It was a mistake, and
was done without General Barry`s knowledge.
The Fenlans have caved, and are now seeking
transportation on General Barry's terms,
not to take rip arms to Invade Canada. As
many as two thousand five hundred names
have already been unrolled by their officers to
return home.
President Roberts' last proclamation has
completed the work of dis ba nding the Fen
ian army now here, though before It was pub
lisped the Fenian General Burns was in treaty
with General Barry to get the Government to
send the men away.
