CRUDE—The Crude market was quiet but
dem to-day, and, as compared with last week,
prices are a fraction higher. This may be at
tributed, we presume, to the foreign news
being regarded as more favorable, together
with the fact that some thirty thousand bar
rels are reported to have been destroyed by
the Ore on the Egbert Farm last Saturday.
We can report sales of 500 bbls in bulk, (40 tots
gravity) at 1455)791 bbls (49 gravity) at 15; and
110 bbls (42 gqiivity) at 18. In addition
to the above, there was a sale of 1502 bbls—
on Saturday but not before reported—at Is,
packages included.
itEriNED—There was considerable Inquiry
for bonded oil GO-day, both for ptig
ent and fu
ture delivery and notivithsta lag an ad
ranee was o ff eied, as compared ith the rates
current last week, there was not a single sale
effected. In the early part of the day 40 cents
was o ff ered for immediate delivey in Phila
delphia; 41 for May; 42 tor June; an 43 for Ju.
in the afternoon, however, it la stated that of- fer, were made to buy at 44 for June, and 41
for July, an advance of Scent per gallon.
Tide, also, as in the case of Crude, may be at
tributed to the favorable advicea from En. I
rope. Free 011 is dull and entirely nominal.
