The President read 'communication from the City
Solicitor rslitive to preparing an answer to the Su
preme Court, stating that longer lime would be re
quired, and that by to-morrow answers might be
prepared.
The resolution to publish the ordinances and acts
of Assembly, with the city accounts, in pamphlet
form, laid over at last meeting, was taken up. The
President offered an - itnettdmenr, excluding the ordi
nances already published, and the resolation es
amended was read throe times and passed by the
following vote:
Ayes—Bailey, ernes, Barnhill, Biodloy, Dein,
Dignam, Edwards, Floyd, Fryer, Hayden, button,
Rem, Jas. Robb. R ose, Taylor, Wills and President
IdeCandleu-17.
Nays—Baurmann, Cbadniok, W. B. Hays, Hill,
Lang, Miller, John Robb, Robbine, Roabottom and
Blebart-10.
The resolation requesting the Otinamittoo on Com
promise to uk for further time was taken up.

earns That all taxes, rates and levies (except
street assessments) payable to the city of Alle
gheny, chili be payable at the office of the CR
Treasurer, and said Treasurer shall make allow
aces to all payers of taxes, rates and leek:
aforesaid, who shall pay the nme In the year
for which they are useeeed, as follows, viz:
Five per cent. if paid on or before the fire
day of July.
Four per `cent. if paid on or before the fire
day of August.
Two per cent. if paid on or before the fire
day of September.
If paid after the Orel day of September, an
