phia, which bad previously reached New Orleans :

and Marshal of that port, and a large number of ■

found their way to-the Navy-Yard at Brooklyn.
Others of them had formerly been sold to Wal
ker, but had not been paid for; they were left in

either to the authorities or the Vigilance Com

They were subsequently delivered up to the
United States authorities, and sent to the Brook
lyn Nary. Yard.
While they were thus in the possesion of the
commanding officer at Drooklyn, they were de
manded by « pereon who wan an officer of Wal
ker in Nicaragua, under tho authority of the
owners thereof. The officer in command rafaoed
to comply until ho should hear from the Govern
ment at Washington, to which he wroto. The
nature of the reply Is not known, but it is known
that ono was reoeived, and that the arms were
thereupon immediately delivered up.
We shall probably hoar more of this malter
