Dina MN Rica or A Holum —On Monday

his death on Wednesday morning 11c was over

tempted to jump from him or was thrown off,
and then the horse kicked him, inflicting fatal
injuries, that cranked in death. He was, as we
are Wormed, iosensible after receiving the in

FORD LABOR OROAN AT ST. JOSEPIL—The St.
Joseph Fres Democrat, o now Freo Libor organ
for Northwestern Missouri, bas made its appear
ance. If well eupporied pecuniarily, it will
render good service in the cause to which it Is de
voted. This is rather a bold experiment, yet
-we trust it will not prove an unsuccessful one.
The manner in which it la noticed by the flt.
Joseph "Daily Wert," we are sorry to observe,
if it does not betray a desire !bat the enterprise
should be put down by violence, has at least a
tendency to provoke each action by the mob.—

Ten Missouri Democrat speaks encouragingly
of the condition of the rivers. It says that the
June rise of the Missouri will not be formidable,
and that the people along the lower Mississippi
need not be alarmed at the flood of which we
have heard at the falls of St. Anthony and at St.
Paul e. It will spend itself long before it reaches
the "coast."
AN Austrian merchantman is lying at Boston,
not daring to proceed on the cruise to which she
had been ordered, viz to St. Johns N. D., to
load a cargo for England. This explains what
that French War steamer is waiting for, off Hal
ifax, which has been two or three times seen
and mistaken for an expected arrival from Eu
rope.
Tin remains of the late Alexander Hamilton,
buried thirty-seven years ago in the New Barth
Cemetery, were a day or two since exhumed for
the purpose of being removed to_ Bridgeport,
(where hie son's remains have within a few years
been deposited). Tho coffin, being of • mahoga
ny, was found to be almost perfectly sound, and
the skeleton appeared perfect.
Aconics.—Persons from the country inform us
that according to present appearances the oak
trees will be laden with acorns. To some this
may appear of little importance; but to the pork
grower in the vicinity of largo forests an acorn
crop Is of great value.— Wheeling IYmer.
