The time for holding this Convention has been
fixed for Wednesday, Jane 2. the old and time
honored practice of fixing the first W ednesday

ance with Ibo general sentiment. The primary ]
meetings will he held on the last Saturday in
May. ...
This Convention, will have to nominate two
candidates for Congress, one for the Siato Sen

iProthonotary, and one each for tho offices of
Jcoroner, Commissioner and Auditor. And 1 ,

delegates to elect to that body, for the nom.ua

miction with that office we hear mentioned the
names of several gentlemen from this county
Tho array of candidates for nomination to tlio
yorions county offices is a large one, hut is corn

ever assembled in this county had a better list
to eelect from than this one will have.
- The contest for the Sheriffalty, of course, ab
sorbs oil or nearly nil the interest. Uelcgates will
be selected mainly with reference lo their pret

to be a lively one. Wo have no advice lo g.vo
