Denny a Care.—That- matter of the murder of
old. Mr. WeLsraan resulted strangely ! book back
at it. Three men together go in a house at
midnight ! The result of that visit is that an
old man is killed. These three men are brought
to trial; one of them is sentenced to deatb-r-
Kclly. The second one—Denny, was yesterday
sentenced to labor in tho I'eniientiary for six
years? the third one, Richards, was acquitted !
This may be all right, but to an outsider it looks
strangely like chance. Mr. A. B. and C. were
at homo on the night this murder wjip commit
ted,in their bed : yet the jury saidtbat Richards,
who was absolutely at the house, was as inno
cent as A. B. or C. This is none of our business,
however, we suppose, nml it is enough f»r us to
record the fact that Kejiyjias been sentenced

and Richard? was acquitted.
