The following ti a full explanation of, the reason
why our Jewish citizens have been denied their rights,
which we quote from TAr Nou'onot Infrlifgenerr :
"Now, we may condemn this as very strange and
Milioral; and so it is, regarded from our lown sum+

Fratat.n Coct.entr—We coil the attention of our

• Tun Wearnms Uxtvensttr.—Wo .were pleased to
meet again on Saturday, our old and tree friend Prof.
Griggs, of the Weston] University, who has spent the
rammer in good old Massachusetts, and has jest re
turned to renew his labors "at the all stand." The
next term commences on Monday next. the 7th, and
we barb no doubt will be a very full term indeed.
Pnonbtus.—On the 22d instant we inserted in our
columns a problem in relation to a circular plot of
ground, to which we hare been receiving answer.
ever since. Same of them are given us in full, and
one which now lice before us occupies just one half
a shoat of foolscap paper. The answers all agree, of
course, as tbe proposition was a very simple ono and
the answer, definite.
Oar friend "Venice," of Washington county, has
our thanks for the careful manner in which ho ha.

The Problem of our old mathematical friend, pub

we think it donbtful if it will receive any. Ile has

some of the numerous students and scholars who

servo as a touch-stone to his knowledge of the differ

In the Court'of ' Quarter Sessions, Mr. C.ovlet made
