LATE DISCOTERIEN IN PATIMIAGT !how that very
many of the diseases which afflict mankind arise
from impurity of the blood. This has long been sus
pected but is only lately known. In consumption,
tubercles are found to be a sedimentary depoeite from
the blood. Dropsy, Gout, Cancer, IJlCers and Erup
tions, all &limbs disordered deposites from the blood.
Billions diseases and fevers ore caused solely by its
deranged unhealthy state, and even the decline of
life follows a want of vitality in the blood. In view
oft hese facts Dn. Area designed his Cathartic Pill
especially to purify and invigorate the blood, and
hence we believe to arise its unpamlelled =CM/. in
controlling and curing disease.—ifedical JonrsoL

Tun ELECTION liarrunsgs.—On yesterday we
obtained from Jefferson City a list of the official
returns, as fortes then received, and we present
them this morning to ourreaders. (Me hundred
counties officially heard from, give Rollins a
majority of 747—with nine coutiti., unofficial
remaining. Of those nine, one county—that of
Rates—was reported in the city last evening as
having been telegraphed officially, one hendrest
and forty-four majority for Stewart. We do not
place any very,,grent reliance upon the state
ment, but having failed to receive any dispathes
ourselves up to the time of writing, we incor
porate it in our table, and give thr opposition
the benefit of it. If true, it would show a loss
for Rollins; on our count, of ninety votes. Of
the other eight counties, seven are set down with
their reported majorities. The contest stands
then, so far—Rollins, 46,739; Stewart. 46,5g5.
Giving Rollins a majority of 174. with the coun
ty of Ripley to bear from. This county gave
Mr. Polk it majority at the last election of II:,
