Tuesday 'mornings had effectually killed, the
fruit 'in this vicinity; but we are _rejoiced to be
able to, day that these apprehannions have not
been realized. All the buds that had blossomed
and even thoSo that had swollen sufficiently to be
partially opened, were killed; hat all the buds
that were closed stilt remain uninjured. Unless
late feints do damage, we will hors a fair if not
a good crop of peaches and apples, and some
cherries, plums and nectarines. This is more
than we all dare hope for, aid we nie abundant

vary cold, and Sunday was one of the coldest
