woman—depriving her of almost her only source

passed yesterday in the House a bill to repeal

in the Senate to-day on the motion of Judge
Dr. Gitzam bad a bill relative to McKee
street Ia Birmingham taken up and passed at
the night session of the Senate to

ed in the Senate, on Friday, by the adoption of
amendments unpalatable to the company.l

offensive in its manner of dealing with that vote
as to show that the object was rather to abuse

of the people. I advert to it only for the pur
poen of protesting against any inference that the
vote itself Is approved by the party which the.
Senator represents, or by any considerable'
portion of his constituents.

who regard it ae a great mistake, and are very
