weeks since,. C. B. Pickett, sometimes called
"crazy Pickett," batted "a campaign pamphlet,"
filled with all the vile stories against Fremont
that have been a hundred times refuted. He
printed an edition of 5;000. copies. He com
plains, in a card in the public papers, that he
has only got rid of 1, of them—one-half of
which, be says, he bee green to the party gratis.
He farther complains that not a Democratic
paper in the State has copied any of his lies,
save a little German journal in this city. But
he says his pamphlet was translated into Ger
man, and went East for distribution four weeks
rinse, and that another string of lies, entitled
Ilistory Attested, also printed in German, goes
forward today.
