• appeals.: The first one taken :Twos that. of
John Breidenthal,- 4th ward, Allegheny,. ehu
appealed from the decision of the Board in re
"using him, license. The Court quashed the op
peal, an the ironed that appeals from apportion
ments of thianntartv itittst be indorsed by twelve
citizen's. In this ease that had not been done.
;Vbe next caso Was that of JALZICS L. Cook,
ithie appealed from the granting of a license to
Ettottnt7P.ioore, of Port Perry. Mr. Irmkpatrick
appeared for the appellant, and Mr. Jug. Mellon
'for Meese. The latter moved that the appeal be
gnashed as the reasons contained therein bad
nett - tail - verified. by afliailt, and that the fiio
days allowed for the. taking out of appeals was
exceeded, as "the return" was filed on the 7tb
ofJuly, and tho appeal was not taken until
July 15th . "Therefore the Court had no power

modified their verdict into this form: "We find
for the defendants under the [attraction of the
Court upon the law of the case."

Hall was again crowded lost evening with an
enthusiastic• and very Intelligent audienceial
ladies and gentlemen. - The Second Ward Glee
