At theleggestion of friends of the good amuse
in which we ariengaged, we have oonciaded to
&co the Winn= Guerra within the reach of
every voter. who desires to watch the pregrees
of the great campaign into which we arc now
entering.
All the energies of the conductors of the pa

the people to a stern and firm resistance to the
dangerous and alarming encroachments of the
slaitipeirer, by the, leetion of JOHN C. FRE
MONTand WM. L. DAYTON, for Presidentand
Vice President, The platform of the Republi

which will birsopported and sustained with all
the earnestness which the-importance of the cause
requires, and with all the ability which we pos
sess orwhich we can commend.
We need not multiply words to convince every
intelligent voter that the times are portentous of
great events, and that the present campaign ia
the most importantly which the American peo
ple have ever engaged. The appeal is made to
the intelligence and patriotism of the voters,
and the press is the great means by which Intel
igenee is dimeminated, and through which pub.
lie opinion exerts its appropriate power. We
offer the press to the friends of the cause at a
price co low, that there can be no excuse for
neeeeting a means so efficient

Wrisos.—We are informed by telegraph, that
Hon. Hamm Wroos, of Maasschnsetts, ime
consented to attend the Fremont and Dayton
ititifirMtims Meeting, to take piece in this city,
en-neat Tuesday evening. - Next to Mr. Sumner
there is a strong desire in tho public
mind to see and hear Mr. Wilson. No man at
the Fidintielphht Convention was received with
=oh warm demonstrations of enthosiesm, as
HMI Mums, • and no man was listened
toe with more profound attention and itveet.
We had the opportonity of hearing him twice, bet
our appetite was only whetep tohear him again.
No &mit the Mends of Liberty from every
quarter will took to hear the great champion of
Freedom who hie dared to beard the Lion in his
den. He is a man of the People, of the Masses
—a Mechanic who bee raised himself by his
genius and his honest patriotism to ono of the
first positions in the country.
Ad the people will desire to come In front the
surrounding regions, we would suggest to the
Committee to ascertain whether • special trains
cannot be secured to meommodate the people.=
IP a epeeist train, for intoner, could be secured,
to lease about 11 o'clock, P. at. for Greensburg'',
and one for New Brighton, and one for Freeport,
hundreds of people would toms in daring the
day, to bear the great Massachusetts champion
of.. Freedom, and eould return home by the
special' &shut. Let this be seen to.
/11 the indications point to a great and glori

are ready and eager to manifest their lore of
Nadine, and their attachment to the brave Path
