Lemma Hoerr Messer, Sept_ 15 .—The
Money Market is more stringent.
The America brings European dates to the
15th inst. Her news from the Crimes is most
important, announcing in full the fall of Sebas
topol, so long and anxiously expected, on the
Bth, after a bombardment of three days and six
repulses, one beinga severe repulse of the French
with terrific slaughter at the Sedan Fort before
the Malakoff Tower, in which the English - and
French troops lost about 20,000 mein and the
Russians more than half that number. The
enemy evacuated the town after blowing up the
defences, sinking all their ships and firing the
city, leaving but a mass of smouldering ruins.—
The total loss in thin terrifio affair is more than
80,000. Five French generals, including Gen
eral Bosquet, are among the killed.
A large allied force is marching along Abe
Coast -to intercept the intended retreat of the
Russians.
The - allies hare captured an immense amount
of materials of war.
An attempt has been made to asstussinate
Napoleon.
it is reported that the Allies hare demanded
the unconditional surrender of all the
"troops, stares and defences in the Crimes bobs
ding the tosm of Odessa. //, 7 / 4 0,77 ,, ,
.
PLAN 07 TIM AITACZ.— The place was attacked
in four different directions. The British at
tempted to atoms Redan, the French to attack
Malakoff. The French extreme right made a
diversion on little Redan, which the English
Frenoh and Sardinians made a united attack on
the central battery. The attacks were all made
simultaneously 'kith great spirit and energy, but
the most eminently.suocessfal one was made by
Generals Bosquat and Maohlahon on Malakoff.
Both 'the Redan and Central batteries were at
one time in the hands of the allies, but it was
found impossible to hold them undeithe accu
rate and murderous tire of the Rusalane.
OPERATIONS LN vim Sae or Atorr.—A dis
patch from the Bea of Asoff states that the Al
lies are doing immense damage to the Russian
vessels and merchandise along the coast. The
fisheries are ablest entirely destroyed and the
damage is estimated at several MIIIIOOI of francs.
Two British Steamers were about ascending
the Gulf of ljaldome to - destroy the govemment
stores collected on the coast.
Fisacz—Bellmore, the would-be muss in, / 1,
undoubtedly a maniac end willnot be tried. He
will be sent to the Lunatic Hospital.
