receipts for the year amounted to $486,167 92.
The issue of Leeks from the, various depositaries.

1,168,791 copies. Their receipts amount to
6100,000 per annum.
In the fifty years thet have elapsed since its
organization, the British and - Foreign Bible So
ciety has issued 45,000,000'. copies of the word
of God, in 160 languages of the: earth, 123 being
new translations of the Scriptures. . In the years
1848.--'49, 40,000 copies of the Bible were circa-
culated in Austria, and 27,000 in Italy.
