The steamship Northern Light arrived at half
past 5 o'clock., She left San Juan on the loth
hist., bringing San Francisco dates to the, evening
of the let, making the time through in 21 days
and 10 hours, the quickest on record. The
Northern Light connected with the steamer Cor
ter which reports passing the Brother donallum,
going into San Fmneisc9 on the evening Of The
let, and the steamer Sierra ; Nevada on the ith
off Cape St. Lucas, boand upward. •
The mail steamer Columbus left San Francieco
for Panama, on the let. ' ,
The Northern Light brings 400 passengers,
